Good Things for Great Coffee

Honestly Sourced

How we source our green coffee really matters - to our farmers and to you, our customers. Honest, equitable sourcing of green coffee means that we can have a positive impact on the lives of the farmers, their families, and the communities where they live. We source from importers of Direct Trade, Fair Trade, and All-Women Farms - so more of our dollars get in the hands of those people working hard to supply us with amazing coffees.

Beautifully Roasted

We roast in small batches for meticulous control and dependable freshness. We roast to meet our orders each week so our Beautiful Beans reach your door as fresh as possible. Unlike coffees that can be sitting on a grocery or cafe shelf for weeks, or even months, we ship our coffee within days of roasting.

All Women Farms - Why?

We LOVE this! All-women coffee farms are a growing trend in the Specialty coffee industry. All-women coffee farms provide economic opportunities and financial independence for women, they prioritize sustainable and environmentally friendly practices, and are helping break gender barriers by promoting diversity and inclusivity for women in the coffee industry.

Direct Trade & Fair Trade

Direct Trade and Fair Trade are two approaches to sourcing green coffee. Direct Trade involves establishing direct relationships with farmers, while Fair Trade is a certification process that ensures fair prices and social-environmental standards are met. Both aim to create a more equitable and sustainable coffee industry.

Organic & Fair Trade Organic

Organic and Fair Trade Organic both refer to coffees that are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, or other harmful chemicals. It is certified by various organizations that ensure the coffee meets specific organic standards. Fair Trade Organic adds the certification that the farmers who grow the coffee are paid fairly and that social and environmental standards are met.

Beautiful Bean Questions

Beautiful Bean stuff you might want to know :-)...

What does small batch roasting mean?

We never roast more that 20 lbs of coffee per batch. This allows for meticulous control over our roasting process, and delivery of the freshest coffee to our customers.

What days do we roast?

We roast-to-order twice a week - typically, Tuesdays and Fridays.

How long after roasting do you ship?

We ship our coffees within 24 to 48 hours after roasting.

How long after roasting does coffee flavor hold up?

Coffees need at least one to two days after roasting to "breath" & "degas" before they are ready to brew. With proper storage in a quality degassing valved bag whole bean coffee can continue to produce beautiful flavors for a solid three weeks plus.
